Matt Higginson is a Crew Manager on Blue Watch at Lichfield Fire Station (Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service) and a qualified nurse (BN Glasgow 1996).

Living in Lichfield, Staffordshire (UK) he skis regularly at the Snowdome and teaches telemark skiing at The Ackers, Small Heath, Birmingham and at Stoke Ski Centre, Festival Park, Stoke on Trent.
 

Matt is Snowsport Englands’ (SSE) Telemark Development Officer and amongst other events across the country he is the organiser of the Midlands Telemark Skiing Festival which is held at the Snowdome, Tamworth every summer and the Northern Telemark Event held at Xscape, Castleford in the Autumn.

To provide individuals and groups in the Midlands and the rest of the UK with an affordable means of learning to telemark ski and nordic walk.

To run a successful small business that delivers great telemark skiing and nordic walking tuition here in the UK and abroad.

Objectives
To raise the profile of telemark skiing and nordic walking in the Midlands.
To develop my own personal telemark skiing and nordic walking skills as the business develops, in order that I can continue to deliver the best tuition and coaching to my clients.
